Once upon a time, on the site of today’s prayer house, there stood a temple of Praios. Like his siblings, he had betrayed Rastullah and allowed himself to be worshipped in his place. As the god of the sun, he claimed the desert for himself, and his temple, with its golden roof, rose ostentatiously in the middle of a semicircle for his followers. Many prayed to him back then, including us, for we knew no better. But Rastullah judges mortals not by their prayers, but by their deeds and their hearts. And in both, He found us worthy. During the First Revelation, His tent appeared precisely at the site of the temple in the semicircle, and in it found space for all the Beni Novad He called to Himself at that time. Here He gave us the 99 Laws and called Himself the one who was, who is, and who always will be. Therefore, we call Him Al’Kha, the Eternal. After His revelation, the griffin statue from the Temple of Praios fell and shattered, and from its shards we created a place where laws are not recited, but discussed.
