About a year ago Garsvir The Breaker Holgardsson, the hetman of the Thorfinn Ottajasko, sailed his dragon-ships to Riva and attempted to conquer the town. After negotiations the Stoerrebrandt office offered Garsvir settlement land and and an annual money tribute if he spares the town and defends Riva from invaders in the future. Garsvir accepted the deal and the Thorwalians settled on the coast to the north of the town wall.
