Morning Thorn Shrub

The morning thorn bush (also known as heather) is magical and after being pricked by the thorns it turns the victim into a swamp rantzy within a week. Anyone who has been transformed by the morning thorn can be recognized as a transformed being by means of a Sensibar, since there are still traces of the victim’s world of thoughts. Odem Aracnum spell at least shows that the swamp rantzy is magical, as does a successful magical analysis. Appropriate counter-spell or a liturgy must be used to reverse the transfiguration. However, the shrub responsible for the transformation cannot be more than 8 paces away while the curse is being lifted. The bush cannot be completely destroyed, because no matter what you do with the morning thorn bush, it will grow back. If you dig up the bush, it loses its magical effect and can no longer transform anyone with a sting. To lure victims, the shrub uses a restless soul that sings sad but attractive dirges at night. The restless soul has persuasion 7, a hero can defend himself with a comparison test on willpower (resist persuasion). If the soul has 1 net QL, the hero will at least approach the bush curiously, from 2 net QL he will touch the bush and get stung. The laments can be heard up to 32 paces away. When moving through an area with multiple shrubs, a hero must succeed on a +2 body control test or accidentally stab himself.
