Mayhaps you could tell us something about Kannemünde?
Kannemünde is a dry town. Despite its proximity to the river, the town’s water supply is a problem. The water from the Chaneb is brackish and undrinkable. The town draws its water from two wells, laboriously drilled into the hard rock.
This is enough to supply the residents, even though the wells are bustling with activity during the day. Households store the water in earthen containers, which are filled by water carriers.
The Novadis store the water in cisterns, but the scarce rainfall in the area is not always sufficient, so in dry periods even the Novadis can be seen running to the well.
This shortage is also responsible for the fact that there are virtually no draft animals in the town, and the heavy labor has to be done by humans.
